Escalation – Kingston Youth Orchestra

The first piece that KYO will be performing is Symphony No. 25 in G minor by Mozart. Mozart was 17, the age of many KYO members, when he wrote this symphony in Salzburg in 1773 so it is very interesting to get a "youth" perspective on its performance. KYO members see drama and playfulness in this composition. From the opening syncopations to the rocketing scales this symphony grabs you and takes you on a Classical journey! The Kingston Youth Orchestra consists of the Youth Orchestra, Youth Strings, and A-Strings. It is made up of high school-aged musicians, who are possibly considering a career in music. All three groups benefit from professional leadership and from a range of performing opportunities
