DESCRIPTION:The Howard Lopez Music Group will present a music program in recognition of Jazz Appreciation Month\, sponsored by the local Kingston Musicians’ Association Trust Fund. \nThis performance\, along with others in the Kingston area\, is free to the public\, with no obligation to for those in attendance to purchase anything\, however\, some venues may offer food and beverage services. \nInformation about other “Jazz events” is found here: https://kingstonjazz.ca/: \nThis performance at The Spire will feature a quartet of Howard Lopez on keyboards\, Brian Coughlan on sax and flute\, Ken Erskine on drums\, and Karen Clouter on vocals. Sydenham Street United Church congregation members may remember Karen when she sang at a Sunday service last February. \nThe group will be playing a variety of recognizable and familiar Jazz Standards that include selections from Scott Joplin\, Dave Brubeck\, Moe Koffman\, Duke Ellington\, and Billie Holiday\, sometimes with the group’s twist on tunes. \nBlending the talents of experienced musicians\, great songs\, and a sprinkle of humour\, you are certain to have an enjoyable time. We look forward to welcoming you to this music experience.
